Alliance Health, Inc. (doing business as Alliance Health & Human Services) is a registered 501(c) 3 not-for-profit corporation that delivers health care and related services for elders and children. Alliance provides its services through the operations of its skilled nursing facilities for elders who need rehabilitation or skilled nursing care, and its specialized and therapeutic foster care programs for children with medical and/or emotional needs.

Alliance owns and operates six skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Massachusetts. These skilled nursing facilities have licensed capacity of 660 beds and employ over 1000 employees. All of the facilities are dually certified by Medicare and Medicaid and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

The foster care operations of Alliance are expanding human services organizations that currently operate in California, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. These programs work with governmental agencies to provide services to at risk youth. Programs include therapeutic and specialized foster care, some traditional foster care, adoption services, services to medically fragile children, and juvenile justice programs. On an average daily basis there are approximately 1,100 children being served nationally under the Alliance programs.

In order to deliver the highest quality at the most effective price we have contractual relationships with several subcontractors who manage the day to day operations in our skilled nursing facilities and foster care operations. Alliance believes that health care and human services are often best provided through provider networks consisting of multiple organizations that can provide diverse, specialized services. We look to contract with managers with values similar to ours, those who have high standards, are sensitive to individual needs, and can provide quality care at a reasonable cost.

Our goal is to continue to provide the highest quality of services to children and elders and to expand those operations to assure a financially sound and viable organization. We also look to continually monitor the health care and human services arena to determine what services are not currently being met and to add programs that fit into the mission of the organization.
