Whatever level of care you need, we can help you find the right balance.

Rest Homes

Sometimes you aren’t sure of what level of care you need. Or whether that need will change one way or another. That’s the time to consider an Alliance Rest Home. A cross between Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, a rest home offers residents independent living combined with wellness programs, social activities and whatever level of care and support you require. In addition, our experienced care providers are there to provide 24-hour monitoring and supervision and our licensed staff can provide ongoing assessments and recommendations for both short- and long-term care.

"They will be there for you."

The nursing! They will be there for you. I am one of the younger ones and I’m going to be here for a long time. The staff is really helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Rest Home?

A Rest Home is a Level IV Long Term Care Facility, licensed by the MA Department of Public Health. Care is provided in accordance with the regulations set forth by the State of MA. At Alliance, our Rest Home Communities provide private living arrangements at an all-inclusive daily rate.

What type of Residents live at an Alliance Rest Home?
At Alliance, our Residents are Women and Men of all Faiths, ranging from the independent of care to those having some basic needs and/or supervision. Our Residents will benefit from always having our Clinical Care staff onsite supervising, and the comforts of Meals, Snacks and Refreshments being provided on top of our growing Amenities like easy free Parking, Housekeeping, and Outpatient Physical Therapy Gyms.
How much does it cost?

At Alliance, our Rest Homes can offer integrated care at an all-inclusive rate per day. The rate is $250/day or $7500/Mo. This fee is specific to the Rest Home Community and is lower than Assisted Living and Nursing Home pricing. At Alliance, our Rest Homes do not have an additional “Community” or “Entrance” fee to move in as a new resident. Respite stays are available.

Is placement covered by Medicaid or Mass Health?

For placement into a Rest Home to be covered by Medicaid, the specific Rest Home room is required by the State to be certified by Mass Health. At Alliance, our location, Alliance Health at Marie Esther, has some rooms which are certified by Mass Health and are eligible for residents with Medicaid in place, dependent on availability.

Will I have to leave Alliance if my level of care changes?
At Alliance, we offer a full continuum of care so our Residents can age in place. Our Rest Homes offer access to an in-house Short Term Rehabilitation Unit and Long-Term Care Unit so as needs change the level of care does as well. This is a unique benefit to living in a Rest Home that is not available at an Assisted Living.
Why should I choose Alliance over another facility?
At Alliance, our Rest Home Communities offer Residents the independence they desire to live on their own, with the assistance and access to clinical care they may need at times. With a combination of a robust wellness program and an active and social environment, our communities allow our Residents to age in place, instead of having to find an alternate level of care as their needs increase.
