12/28 [Peabody, MA] — Alliance Health at Rosewood, a non-profit Skilled Nursing Facility located in Peabody, owned and managed by parent organization Alliance Health & Human Services, experienced the true spirit of the season when a group of compassionate nurses from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) went above and beyond to bring holiday joy to our Senior Long Term Care residents.
In a heartwarming gesture of goodwill, a very dedicated unit of nurses from MGH embarked on their annual charity project, selecting Alliance Health at Rosewood as the recipient of their generosity this year. MGH Nurse on Blake 6, Nicole Pagos shared “Every year we pick a special group to try and spread some extra Christmas cheer. This year we chose Rosewood, It was an added treat with Rosewood since we were invited to participate. We have never been able to share in the excitement before. It was also a perfect opportunity for us to teach our children about giving. The residents seemed so happy and the mood was very festive. We are grateful to the staff at Rosewood for allowing us to participate in such a special day.” The result was a delivery of over 40 Christmas presents, perfectly personalized and carefully chosen to bring warmth, comfort, and festive cheer to the senior residents of the facility.

Blake 6 Unit of Nurse’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community is truly inspiring, and we were so lucky to be considered this year!” said Stephanie Bruno, MS, LNHA, Administrator at Alliance Health at Rosewood. “This thoughtfulness has not only brightened the holiday season for our residents, but also reinforced the true spirit of community as we head into the Holidays.”
The considerate gesture extended beyond the gifts. The Nurses from the Hospital and their children joined Rosewood on site for their Resident Holiday party. With the help of Santa, played by Alliance’s Director of Talent Acquisition algene bailey, and the Nurse’s children, all presents were personally distributed to every resident. “The smiles and the expressions of real excitement radiating from a Senior’s faces… that’s what the Holidays are all about.” reflected Director of Nursing, Nancy LaRock.
This collaboration between Alliance Health at Rosewood and the generous Nurses on Blake 6 Transplant Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital exemplifies the power of community. It highlights the importance of spreading joy, especially during the holiday season, and showcases the profound difference that acts of kindness can make in the lives of those who need it.
