With the new year underway, Alliance Health & Human Services is eager to share that we have recently acquired Doolittle Home, now proudly known as Alliance Health at Doolittle. With a rich history having been founded by Sarah Doolittle, and reputation as a beloved retirement community, Doolittle Home has been a cornerstone in serving the senior population of Foxborough for decades. Aligned in our dedication to compassionate senior care, this acquisition marks a new chapter in Doolittle’s legacy under the umbrella of Alliance Health & Human Services.
With the acquisition of this community, our foremost aim was to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for residents and staff alike.To achieve this, we organized a day of events at Doolittle, featuring a grab-and-go breakfast station, morning giveaways, and one-on-one discussions about employee recognition and benefits like tuition reimbursement. The afternoon was highlighted by a festive celebration for all Staff, with welcoming speeches from Doolittle’s Executive Director Linda Hunter, and key members of Alliance’s Leadership team, led by Director of Operations Dan Mitchell, all on top of an amazing spread. Throughout the duration of this get together, the Alliance leadership team, and team members from across our other Centers, mingled with the Doolittle staff and residents, discovering a couple of silly ghost stories that added an element of intrigue to the occasion! To heighten the excitement, we were delighted to welcome 2 former New England Patriot Players who dropped by the festivities, feeling right at home in the heart of Foxborough.
Our parent organization extends our heartfelt thank you to Scott Coutts, our Food Services Director at our sister facility, Alliance Health at Marie Esther, who assisted in the planning and execution of this event from the beginning!
In addition, we are so grateful to Doolittle’s executive Director Linda Hunter and Director of Nursing, Christine Kent, for allowing us to take over their space (and staff) for a day of celebrations! Doolittle’s extraordinary Dietary Team was invaluable support at this event, going above and beyond to ensure our celebration was a success, and we extend our sincerest gratitude to Heather Newcomb, the Food Services Director at Doolittle Home, whose irresistible home-made desserts and refreshments added a special personal touch to this big day.
Despite the winding down of our celebrations, the prospect of working alongside our new team members fills us with excitement, creating a more cohesive and expanded team than ever. Our commitment to supporting the community remains unwavering, and we eagerly look forward to spreading the news that Doolittle Home is now Alliance Health at Doolittle!
